Bushwakker Brewing Company
Welcome to The Bushwakker Brewpub! We are Saskatchewan’s Craft Beer Pioneer. A family-owned and operated, fiercely independent brewpub offering award-winning pub cuisine and internationally recognized craft beers since 1991. We are considered by many to be the “cultural hub” of Regina. If you only have one day to spend in Saskatchewan and would like to get a good taste of what our province has to offer, then a visit to The Bushwakker is sure to provide you with a Saskatchewan feast for the senses!
The Bushwakker Brewpub was created on the main floor of the Strathdee Building, a century old, classic Chicago-style warehouse in Regina’s Old Warehouse District. The area contains many restaurants, nightclubs, bars and unique independent businesses. The Strathdee Building was built in 1913 out of the rubble of the Great Regina Cyclone (actually a tornado) of 1912, on the site of a former Chinese laundry, and opened in 1914. It was the “cadillac” warehouse of the area. The front of the main floor housed offices and a display area, with a beautiful pressed tin ceiling. The ceiling was restored to its original glory as part of the Bushwakker development.
The walls are decorated with dozens of pictures showing the historical development of Regina, including the aftermath of the Great Cyclone. One wall is devoted to the works of a different Saskatchewan artist each month. Another corner displays published works of various local authors. Our brewhouse is visible through the large windows in our main pub area. Our background music features a 100% Saskatchewan music playlist. We present over 100 live music performances annually which showcase both local and national touring acts.
The Bushwakker Brewpub has 12 year round beers, over 25 seasonal beers and a specialty Blackberry Mead which is released on the first Saturday of each December. The Bushwakker food menu is quite large and diverse dining selection as well as bistro-quality daily specials. Bushwakker also offers a large selection of single malt scotch, Saskatchewan microbrewery beers, wines, spirits and ciders as well as specialty imported European beers.
