Gingergrass Thai and Vietnamese Restaurant

Gingergrass Thai and Vietnamese Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant in Downtown St. John’s.  Our name blends two fresh, simple ingredients used in many of our dishes – Ginger and Lemongrass. Located in the MIX building on Duckworth Street, we offer a fresh take on dining in the city.

Inspired by home-style cooking and the vibrancy of the Asian culture, Gingergrass is an expression of our love and respect for the original creator, Nira – who passed away in 2020.  Nira’s dishes are meant to be shared with family and friends; but if you’re dining alone, that’s ok too! Our menu offers healthy, delicious food with options to customize your meal.  Choose your favourite protein to complete your dish, kick up (or down) the spice level or ask about our gluten-free or vegan options.

We look forward to cooking for you soon. We’re open Monday to Saturday and reservations can be made online or by calling us. You just might get to enjoy your meal at our “swinging booth” – the best seat in the house!
