Claddagh Oyster House | Restomaps Restaurant

Casual
Fine Dining

Established by Liam and Kim Dolan in 1983, the Claddagh Room was named for a fishing village in Galway City in Ireland. Offering fine dining of the style that was popular at the time, the Claddagh Room and the Olde Dublin Pub upstairs (est. 1985) were instrumental in turning Sydney Street from a relatively untravelled side street to a key Charlottetown food destination.

Renamed Claddagh Oyster House in 2006, the reinvigorated restaurant now focuses on fresh, local ingredients and casual fine dining, featuring world renown Island oysters and Certified PEI Beef. The results of our partnerships with Prince Edward Island farmers and fishers is evident in every bite.

Chef
Mitchell Jackson

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of Canada here in Charlottetown, Chef Jackson has been in the kitchen of some of PEI’s finest restaurants, including serving as Executive Chef at Dalvay-by-the-Sea and in the kitchen at Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar before joining us at Claddagh Oyster House.

A Chef ’s Showcase
Returning home to Prince Edward Island after heating up the kitchen at Whalesbone Oyster House in Ottawa, Mitchell joined Claddagh Oyster House to showcase fresh, local ingredients in extraordinary combinations that create the signature Claddagh menu.
