Shabu Shabu means splash-splash. The customers receive thin slices of raw meat and vegetables, which they cook quickly in a pot of boiling water. These are dipped in a sesame sauce or ponzu sauce (soy based sauce). After the meal, the remaining broth is used as a soup for noodle or rice.
