The Spitfire Arms Alehouse, affectionately known as The Pub, is Windsor’s most spacious and accommodating watering hole and family restaurant combo, offering unique public and private dining experiences, thoughtfully created seasonal menus, and locally sourced meat, produce, spirits, ciders, and beers. The Pub offers something for everyone: a warm, cozy atmosphere in our main dining room, a friendly welcome to friends at the bar stools, private dining options in our large or small event rooms, a seasonal patio designed for enjoying cold brews while soaking in the sun, and a Europe-inspired covered and heated alley created for a more intimate setting for outdoor dining. About us
The Town of Windsor, with a history akin to the mythical phoenix, gathers strength and character from triumph over adversity. Windsor lay in ashes after two great fires: October 17, 1897, and January 6, 1924. Despite the tragedies, the town rebuilt, each time stronger than its past self. July 14, 2015, a devastating fire rips through the Spitfire Arms, leaving only the echoes of friendly laughter and good cheer: a cherished watering hole no more than a memory in a town too familiar with flame. As did Byron’s phoenix, the Spitfire flexed from its smoky irons, rising again with youthful intensity ushered by deliberate composure. The Spitfire would fly again, March 12, 2016.
