The Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar
about us
Behind the brick walls of our 1800s warehouse you will find a big city feel right here in historic Charlottetown.
One of the first things you’ll see when you walk through the door is our Chef’s Table. Watch our culinary team create your meal and get a first hand introduction to all the local ingredients we incorporate into every dish.
Climb the stairs to the second floor where you can see and be seen in this trendy space. Let our bartender cater to you as you enjoy your meal.
An intimate atmosphere awaits you on the third floor. You will feel yourself instantly relax when you enter Marc’s Lounge. Enjoy our beautiful loft space with friends, and local entertainment.
Join us for cozy nights under the Sydney Street lights. Our seasonal patio is nestled under the charming lights along Sydney Street. Enjoy your meal al fresco on a warm summer day or evening.
our history
Constructed in the mid 1800’s, 125 Sydney was originally a warehouse for Daniel Brenan’s importing business. Over the years it has had a number of owners, but no one more colourful than Marc Gallant, a celebrated graphic artist and environmental activist from North Rustico. It was in this lounge in the late 1970’s that Marc did some of his most creative works.
It first became a restaurant, known as Off Broadway, in the early 80’s, and a decade later was purchased by Murphy Hospitality Group (MHG) who expanded the third floor into 42nd Street Lounge. In early 2011, MHG redeveloped the property into what you are experiencing today, The Brickhouse Kitchen + Bar and Marc’s Lounge.
